Nine died in Las Vegas when the driver drove at a red light

The driver of a Dodge Challenger drove at high speed at a red light at 3pm on Saturday and drove into five other cars. At least 15 people were involved in the incident. This was stated by police spokesman Alexander Cuevas to the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Monday night.

The driver who caused the incident, and a passenger in his car, died. One of the injured was sent to hospital in critical condition. The condition was not life-threatening for the others who were injured.

– It was a chaotic incident. We have not seen such a mass situation before. Please make this a safer community by driving slower. Adhere to the speed limit, says Cuevas.

The police are now trying to determine whether the driver who triggered the collision may have been driving under the influence.
