Confirmed: Swedish national team star for Vipers

On Friday, TV 2 learned that the Vipers were in dialogue with several star players, including Jamina Roberts.

Then neither Roberts’ current club, Sävehof, nor the Vipers wanted to comment on the matter.

Now the Vipers confirm that they have signed with the Swede.

She is therefore reunited with former teammate on the national team Isabelle Gulldén. Both Gulldén and goalkeeper Evelina Ericksson have been decisive for the choice.

– It feels like a good alternative. I have a child who will be with me. It is a good solution and it is a good sporting solution. Vipers is a very good team that I look forward to playing with, Roberts says in a livestream on Instagram.

Roberts has the last two seasons played in the Swedish club IK Sävehof, where she also played in the period 2009-2014 and 2016-2017. The 31-year-old has also previously played for Danish TTH Holstebro and Hungarian Erdi VSE.

Vipers, who leads the REMA 1000 league, will lose Nora Mørk this summer. The Norwegian national team star is going to Danish Esbjerg. Goalkeeper Andrea Austmo Pedersen is also going to Denmark after the current season and has signed for Herning-Ikast.
