Donny van de Beek is on loan from Manchester United to Everton. That confirms Everton on Deadline Day.

– Now I can say I am an Everton player. I am very happy and can not wait to help the team, says the Dutchman in a recent interview with the club.

– I think this is a big club, with many good players. I came because I want to help them climb the table, he continues.

The 24-year-old says that Lampard was an important factor in the transition.

– I had a very positive meeting with the new coach. We have the same ideas about football and he had a great influence on my choice.

– I can learn a lot from him because he played in the same position and was a midfielder who scored a lot of goals. He can help me a lot, so I think I’m in a good place, says van de Beek.

The midfielder has only started four games in the Premier League since the transfer from Ajax to Manchester United in the summer of 2020. This season, the midfielder has only played 70 minutes in the league for the Red Devils, divided into eight games.

Now van de Beek is leaving Old Trafford to get more playing time at Everton. The 24-year-old, who has lost his place on the Dutch national team due to lack of playing time, will be loaned to Merseyside for the rest of the season.

Everton should not have secured an option to buy van de Beek, several media outlets report. The Toffees also pay a sum to Manchester United to loan the Dutchman.
