Britta Björkholm, head of department at the Swedish Public Health Agency, updates on the situation.

  • So far this week, 124,000 people in the country have been confirmed infected with covid-19.

  • At the same time, no one knows how big the dark figure is because the testing was limited last week.

  • “We still have a very high spread of infection. A large part of the population is at risk of becoming infected in the next few weeks,” says Britta Björkholm, head of department at the Swedish Public Health Agency.

The public health authority has decided that they do not recommend vaccines for children five to eleven years old.
