After just over a week at Ekeberg, Vålerenga sets course for Marbella on Tuesday morning. The boys have trained hard since the start on January 17, and Henrik Bjørdal feels that the competition for training is higher than last year.
– I feel the squad is reinforced. I think everyone looks at training, and I notice that myself too, the competition is higher, and that is clearly positive. Everyone is on their toes all the time and wants to show off, he says.
The days in Marbella will be used for training, exercise and training. But there was a match up against FC Krasnodar, and Bjørdal is looking forward to playing.
– It’s mostly about getting match training and building up the fitness, but you will of course show up against a big Russian team as well. I’m looking forward to it.
This year’s first training match will be played on 30 January at 16.00, and will be shown on VG + and direktesport.no.
