Jota double sent Liverpool to league cup final

On Thursday, Arsenal were visited by Liverpool for the decisive match over who will face Chelsea in the league cup final at Wembley at the end of February.

Diogo Jota made the big difference. The Portuguese’s two art goals became the only two of the match, in what was a fast-paced and entertaining football match.

17-year-old Kaide Gordon, who got the chance from the start for Liverpool, had two great goal chances, which he was unable to control between the posts.

Instead, it was Jota who rudely lobbed his second goal of the evening ten minutes before full time. The goal was first canceled for offside, before the referee changed his mind after a VAR check.

It was Jota’s fifth goal in the last four matches against the London club.

It also ensured that Liverpool face Chelsea in the final at Wembley on 27 February.
