The defense alliance NATO has sent a Dutch military ship to the Baltic Sea, Aftonbladet reports.

The ship went through the Sound on Saturday and is now south of the Danish island of Bornholm.

According to NATO, the ship is in place to monitor the situation in the area and to “show presence and solidarity with the entire alliance”, writes Aftonbladet.
