These TikTokers earn the most

TikTok took off in earnest when the pandemic became a fact in 2020, and has become a very attractive platform for advertisers.

Therefore, for the second time, Forbes has mapped the income of the TikTok celebrities. Everyone on the list is under 25 years old.

Sales of energy drinks, autobiographies and starring roles in Netflix movies are some of the things that the various profiles have made money on.

In 2021, it is the sibling couple D’Amelio who have done the best.

1. Charli D’Amelio (17)

She is the youngest in the D’Amelio family, who last year got her own reality series on the streaming platform Hulu. Charli is also the biggest on TikTok with a staggering 133 million followers.

Charli earned $ 17.5 million last year. This corresponds to around NOK 154 million.

In 2021, she has made money from advertisements for, among other things, Invisaglign, which is a transparent brace.

She and her older sister also launched a clothing collaboration with Hollister. According to the company’s CEO, the collaboration was a significant contributor to the clothing brand’s revenue increasing by almost 10 percent in September last year.

2. Dixie D’Amelio (20)

The eldest sister has embarked on a pop career. Last year she released two songs and the single “Psycho” reached 25th place on Billboard’s pop list.

She has 57 million followers on TikTok, far fewer than her sister, but still enjoys their joint collaboration with Hulu, Snap and Hollister.

Dixie earned $ 10 million in 2021, which is equivalent to around $ 88 million.

3. Addison Rae (21)

TikTokeren has 86 million followers. Rae stars in the Netflix movie “He’s All That,” where she aptly plays an influencer. The film topped the Netflix list in 78 countries last year. After that, the company announced that they have signed Rae for several future projects.

Rae had $ 8.5 million in revenue last year. That is around 75 million kroner.

She has a lucrative sponsorship partnership with the clothing brand American Eagle and has her own make-up line which is sold at the Sephora chain.

4. Bella Poarch (24) and Josh Richards (19)

These share fourth place, but Bella Poarch rules when it comes to followers. At TikTok, she is followed by 87 million, and is thus the third most followed in total.

Poarch went viral with this video which also became the most watched on TikTok in 2020.

For the past year, she has had commercials for Google, Prada and Tinder. The influencer also released his first single “Build a Bitch” which reached a 56th place on Billboard’s pop list.

Both Poarch and Richards had an income of 5 million dollars last year, which is around 44 million kroner.

Josh Richards has made money on sponsorship deals with Amazon and CashApp, an American version of Vipps. 26 million he follows on TikTok.

Richards runs a podcast and has launched his own energy drink that is sold at major chains, including Walmart.

Together with two other influencers, he has started the capital fund Animal Capital, where they have raised over 15 million dollars.

They are said to have invested in apps and the biotechnology company Colossal, which wants to revive ullmammuten, according to Forbes.

5. Kris Collins (25) and Avani Gregg (19)

Collins is another example of how fast you can make money growing up on TikTok. She worked as a hairdresser before the pandemic, but after downloading the app it was done. In 2021, she earned several million dollars.

Collins runs humorous sketches that have led to 41 million followers. In addition, she has 4.5 million followers on YouTube. According to Forbes, it is rare that TikTok users manage to get large following on both video platforms.

She has advertised for the chocolate Hershey, the entertainment company Lionsgate and hair products from Pantene.

Both Collins and Avani Gregg earned $ 4.75 million last year. That is almost 42 million kroner.

Gregg is known for making make-up tutorials and became known as “Clown Girl”, meaning to make up like a clown.

In 2019, she quit her job as a lifeguard and became a member of Hype House, a collective of influencers. That same year, she won the award for TikToker of the Year at the Shorty Awards.

Gregg has had his own series on Snap and been part of the online series «Chicken Girls».

Perhaps most impressive: She has written an autobiography at the age of 19. The book “Backstory: My Life So Far” was published in 2021.

Forbes states that they have only included people who first became known on TikTok. Talone is based on what Forbes estimates the TikTokers earned from January 1 to December 31, 2021.
