No other country in the world than Norway claims territories in both the Arctic and the Antarctic.

The great powers are now showing increased interest in the polar regions. There is less and less ice. What does it mean for “the world’s only bipolar nation”?

Larger countries fought for colonies in Africa. Norwegian Arctic imperialists hunted for inhospitable possessions in the Arctic and Antarctic.
