FHM does not want to introduce distance education in schools – News (Ekot)

  • The Swedish Public Health Agency sees no reason to introduce additional measures such as distance education to prevent the spread of infection in schools.

  • When teaching starts after the Christmas holidays in a week and a half, the more contagious omicron variant is expected to have become dominant, but state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell tells TT that the authority thinks it is extremely important that schools can continue to conduct good teaching.

  • For preschools and schools, the public health authority instead proposes preventive measures (such as being outdoors a lot, avoiding congestion, having good hygiene and informing pupils and guardians about what applies to symptoms.
