Listen: Fewer Christmas visitors than usual in the cathedrals

  • The Midnight Mass and the Christmas lottery in the cathedrals in the country attracted significantly fewer visitors than in previous years, despite the fact that many are vaccinated.

  • The Great Church in the Old Town of Stockholm had only a third as many visitors as usual at the midnight mass and half as many on Christmas Eve.

  • The decrease is believed to be due to fear of congestion and infection and that some may have found it difficult to get vaccinated, says cathedral chaplain Ulf Lindgren to TT
