Aftenposten believes: Running Viken in reverse is a hopeless use of tax money

Oppegård in Akershus is not what it used to be.

There are more important things in life than old county boundaries.

NOK 440 million is a lot of money. The amount can be spent on sensible things, for the benefit of most people, or on irrational things. The latter category includes the closure of Viken County Municipality in a historical administrative reversal.

In the central east, a large group of county employees sit and know that the working day over the New Year can be a tiring and uninspiring battle. At least if the county council in Viken gets it the way it wants.
