Ole Gunnar Solskjær had to leave his position as Manchester United manager after just over three years in the manager’s chair.

As is well known, he was replaced by the German Ralf Rangnick, who led Manchester United to a 1-0 victory in his first match as manager.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær could probably have imagined staying as manager at Old Trafford. However, he can take comfort in the fact that he saw so much money in the bank that he could retire and live a life of luxury for a long time.
For the tax year 2019, he earned an incredible 108 million kroner. In 2020, he is listed with only NOK 3.7 million in income, but his fortune has grown from NOK 70.5 million to NOK 113.9 million in 2020. In 2018, he was listed with NOK 22.2 million in fortune.
Karsten Warholm, Olympic gold winner from the Tokyo Olympics, is experiencing a huge salary increase.
In 2019, he earned two million kroner. In 2020, the athletics star is listed with NOK 8.3 million. Wealth also increased for Warholm. For the tax year 2020, it is NOK 10.2 million, up from NOK 6.4 million in 2019.
Athletics star Jakob Ingebrigtsen can also grin over a solid salary increase. Although he is far from Solskjær in wealth, the income rose from 1.3 million in 2019 to 1.7 million in 2020, the tax lists show.
Magnus Carlsen, who is currently playing the World Chess Championship in Dubai, has made a fortune. He went from an income of just under 900,000 kroner in 2019, to 30.9 million kroner in income for the tax year 2020.
Some of the numbers in the tax lists can be misleading. Read more about why here.
