Helicopter with India’s defense chief has crashed – News (Echo)

  • A helicopter carrying India’s Chief of Defense General Bipin Rawat and about 13 other people has crashed in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

  • According to the news agency AP, four people have been killed in the crash and three have been taken to hospital. There is no information on whether the Chief of Defense was injured or not.

  • The helicopter crashed on its way from an air base to a military school. Bipin Rawat was named the country’s first Chief of Defense in January 2020.
