Only a few foreign films are allowed in. This Norwegian film ended up on the top list in the world’s largest cinema market.

Norwegian “Troll – The King’s Tail” escaped through the narrow eye of the Chinese authorities.

“Troll- The King’s Tail” has taken inspiration from the Norwegian mythology about trolls. In the Norwegian version, Toralv Maurstad and Anders Baasmo Christiansen, among others, added voices to the figures.

In the world’s most populous country, the Norwegian animated film is one of only 34 foreign films that can be released in cinemas this year. In September, the film was launched in more than 5,000 cinemas.

– During the first week alone, the film sold 380,000 tickets, says Kristian Kamp to Aftenposten.
